Terms of Service

By using RidePickup (“the Platform”) you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Platform. These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

Important: RidePickup arranges pre-booked airport transfers in the Greater Los Angeles area. RidePickup is not a taxi company, ride-hailing operator, car rental company, or licensed transportation carrier. RidePickup does not own vehicles and does not employ drivers. The transportation on each trip is provided and performed by an independent, separately licensed driver assigned to your trip, who is responsible for their own licensing, insurance, taxes, and compliance with local laws.

1. The role of the Platform

RidePickup arranges pre-booked airport transfers that are carried out by independent, separately licensed drivers (“Drivers”). The Platform’s role is limited to:

  • Taking your trip details and confirming a price for the transfer;
  • Arranging and assigning a suitable licensed Driver for your trip;
  • Coordinating communications about the trip (via email, SMS, or in-platform messaging);
  • Supporting you before and around your transfer.

Each Driver is an independent operator responsible for their own licensing, insurance, taxes, and compliance with local laws. The transportation on each trip is performed by the Driver, not by RidePickup.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Platform. By using the Platform you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. For riders

  • After you submit your trip and complete payment on this site, we arrange and assign an independent, separately licensed Driver to carry out your transfer.
  • Trip logistics (vehicle, route, timing) are coordinated by us and the assigned Driver. To change the time, location, passengers or luggage, use “Request change” on your order or contact us.
  • The transportation is performed by an independent, separately licensed Driver, not driven by RidePickup. The Driver, as an independent carrier, is responsible for the operation itself (driving safety, vehicle condition, licensing and insurance); we are responsible for arranging a suitable Driver in good faith.
  • You are responsible for verifying the Driver and vehicle at pickup and following reasonable safety practices. In the event of an accident, injury or loss, matters concerning vehicle operation are the responsibility of the carrying Driver under applicable law; we will assist with communication within reason.
  • You pay RidePickup (not the Driver directly) for your booking; payment is processed securely by Stripe and we do not store your full card number. Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. For drivers

  • You represent that you hold all licenses, permits, and insurance required by your local jurisdiction to provide your services.
  • You set your own prices, service areas, schedule, and terms of service with riders.
  • Your profile must be accurate. You are responsible for keeping it current (vehicle, service area, contact info).
  • You handle tax reporting and payment processing directly with riders.
  • You are solely responsible for safety, conduct, and service quality during every trip.

5. What the Platform does not provide

RidePickup does not:

  • Act as a licensed transportation carrier or the carrier of record — the transportation itself is performed by independent, separately licensed Drivers;
  • Guarantee the licensing, insurance, vehicle condition, safety, or conduct of any Driver beyond arranging a suitable Driver in good faith;
  • Guarantee that a vehicle or Driver can be arranged for every time or location, or that any trip will be free of delay;
  • Serve as the employer, agent, or partner of any Driver;
  • Take responsibility for a Driver’s own tax reporting or regulatory compliance.

Matters relating to the operation of the transportation are not warranted by the Platform. Refunds relating to order payments are handled under our Refund Policy.

6. No warranty

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that a vehicle or Driver can be arranged for every time or location, that any particular trip will be free of delay, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RidePickup will not be liable for: indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; lost profits, lost data, or business interruption; damages arising from the acts or omissions of any Driver or rider; damages arising from any trip arranged through the Platform. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to US $100.

8. Your indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RidePickup, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or demand (including attorney fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your interaction with any rider or Driver.

9. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false information in your profile or ride requests;
  • Use the Platform to harass, defraud, or endanger any person;
  • Use the Platform for illegal activities;
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Platform;
  • Impersonate another person or entity;
  • Use the Platform to solicit riders or Drivers to transact in ways that circumvent these Terms.

10. Account management

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that are inactive for extended periods, or that we suspect of fraudulent or abusive activity.

11. Service changes & termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform (or any feature) at any time with or without notice. We may also terminate your access to the Platform at our discretion. Termination does not relieve either party of obligations incurred prior to termination.

12. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, code, logos, and platform-generated content, is owned by RidePickup and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute Platform content without our written permission. Driver profile content remains the property of each individual Driver.

13. Disputes & governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

Disputes between riders and Drivers — about trips, pricing, service quality, cancellations, etc. — are between those parties. RidePickup is not a party to those disputes and does not mediate them.

14. Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be communicated by posting updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. SMS & text messaging

If you opt in through our SMS Opt-In form, you consent to receive informational and transactional text messages from RidePickup (HUIWANLI LLC) related to ride requests you post, responses from independent Drivers, account and verification notices, and follow-up communication. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help. SMS consent is optional and is not required to use the Platform. How we handle the mobile information you provide is described in Section 12 of our Privacy Policy.
